House Parents

If the idea of guiding children ages 11 through 16 toward Christ and healthy living appeals to you, consider becoming houseparents on our main campus in Paragould.

Position Details:

The housemother is hired to provide routine and structure that teaches children how to live in and trust a structured family environment. She works alongside our professional staff team, including other experienced housemothers.

The housefather provides spiritual leadership in the home while supporting his wife's ministry. He can maintain employment off campus or may be eligible for employment on campus if positions are available.

Therapeutic Caseworker

If you are passionate about helping adolescents heal, grow, and move toward a brighter future, consider joining us as a Therapeutic Caseworker on our on-campus program at the Experiential Learning Academy in Paragould.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field. Other majors considered include youth & family ministry, Bible, education, behavior & social sciences (psychology, sociology, counseling, criminal justice, etc.).
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the mission and values of Children’s Homes.
  • Willingness to engage in and facilitate experiential learning activities (e.g., wilderness therapy, high- and low-rope elements, equine-assisted learning, parent education).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a professional team, build therapeutic relationships, and support students’ progression in our program.
  • Good communication, organisational skills, and flexibility to participate in immersive, hands-on interventions.

Position Details:

The Therapeutic Caseworker is responsible for overseeing student progression within our on-campus Experiential Learning Academy program. This role involves engaging students in structured, therapeutic, and experiential learning modalities, including wilderness experiences, ropes course activities, equine-assisted learning, and parent/guardian education. Training is provided to support success in these specialized interventions.
